Playtime fun at Monkey Town Apeldoorn with JB-Tag
In 2024, Monkey Town Apeldoorn launched the JB-Tag play system. Wanting to see the reactions firsthand, we paid a visit to soak up the atmosphere. Surrounded by enthusiastic kids, Anouk, one of the team members, shared her experience with our interactive play system.
Anouk from Monkey Town Apeldoorn shared her excitement about the success of the JB-Tag play system. “On busy days, I just sell one Tag wristband and, before long, the rest follow,” she laughed. The kids play with total focus, constantly checking if they’ve earned enough points for the coveted prize: a slush puppy.
For parents, it’s a smart deal too JB-Tag costs just 30 cents more than a slush puppy on its own. “So you might as well let them enjoy a fun interactive game that keeps them busy for hours,” Anouk added.

How JB-Tag sells itself
Anouk gave us a look at how they promote the JB-Tag game at Monkey Town Apeldoorn. She pointed to a stack of colourful flyers ready to hand out and showed off the big poster in the window.
“But honestly, that’s not even our main promotion,” she said. “The light from the interactive spots grabs attention right away, and the wristbands are clearly displayed at the checkout. Kids and parents often ask about the game and once we explain it, they get excited immediately.” The game draws attention on its own and gets visitors curious.
JB-Tag, simpler than ever
Anouk mentioned that, in the early days, they sometimes had an iPad shut down in the morning. “That could be a bit of a hassle,” she admitted. But that issue was solved with a brand-new iPad, and since then, everything has worked flawlessly.
The game is also super easy for staff to use. “It’s pretty much self-explanatory,” she said with a smile. “The only thing we’re still busy with is the line for the slush puppy,” she laughed, referring to the game’s popularity and the reward.
