Playtime fun at Monkey Town Apeldoorn with JB-Tag
In 2024, Monkey Town Apeldoorn introduced the JB-Tag play system. Curious about the reactions, we decided to visit and experience the atmosphere for ourselves. Surrounded by excited children, Anouk, one of the staff members, shared her thoughts on our interactive play system.
Anouk from Monkey Town Apeldoorn enthusiastically told us about the success of the JB-Tag play system. “On busy days, I just need to sell one Tag wristband and before you know it, the rest follow,” she laughed. The children play with great enthusiasm, constantly checking whether they've earned enough points for the much-wanted prize: a slush puppy.
For parents, it’s a smart deal too, since the JB-Tag game here costs only 30 cents more than a slush puppy alone. “So you might as well treat them to a fun interactive game that keeps them entertained for hours,” Anouk added.

How JB-Tag sells itself
Anouk showed us how they promote the JB-Tag game at Monkey Town Apeldoorn. She pointed to the stack of colourful flyers ready to be handed out and showed the large poster displayed in the window.
“But that’s not even our main promotion,” she explained. “The lights from the interactive spots instantly grab attention, and the wristbands are clearly visible at the counter. Kids and parents often ask what the game is about and once we explain it, they’re immediately excited.” The interactive game naturally draws attention and sparks curiosity among visitors.
JB-Tag, simpler than ever
Anouk told us that in the beginning, they occasionally had issues with an iPad shutting down in the morning. “That was a bit tricky at times,” she admitted. But that problem was solved with a brand-new iPad, and everything has been running smoothly ever since.
The game is also very easy for staff to manage. “It’s all very self-explanatory,” she said with satisfaction. “The only thing we’re still busy with is the queue for the slush puppy,” she laughed, referring to the popularity of the game and its reward.
