Fun at Monkey Town Apeldoorn with JB-Tag

In 2024, Monkey Town Apeldoorn introduced the JBTag game system. Curious about the reactions, we decided to visit and experience the atmosphere ourselves. Surrounded by enthusiastic children, Anouk, one of the staff members, shared her experiences with our interactive game system.

One Tag wristband sold, the rest follow

Anouk from Monkey Town Apeldoorn told us enthusiastically about the success of the JB-Tag game system. “On busy days I only need to sell one Tag play wristband, and before you know it, the others come after it,” she laughed. The children play energetically and are constantly checking if they have collected enough points for the coveted prize: a slush puppy.

It’s also a smart deal for parents, as the JB-Tag game here costs just 30 cents more than a single slush puppy. “So you might as well play a fun interactive game and keep the children entertained for hours,” Anouk added.

How JB-Tag sells itself

Anouk showed us how they promote the JB-Tag game at Monkey Town Apeldoorn. She pointed to the stack of colorful flyers ready to be handed out and showed the large poster displayed on the window.

“But that’s actually not even our main promotion,” she explains. “The light from the interactive lamps immediately draws attention, and the wristbands are clearly visible at the counter. Children and parents often ask what the game is about, and as soon as we explain it, they become excited.” The interactive game naturally attracts attention and sparks visitors’ curiosity.

JB-Tag easier than ever

Anouk told us that in the beginning they sometimes had an iPad that crashed in the morning. “That was a bit challenging at times,” she admitted. Since then, that problem has been solved with a brand-new iPad, and everything has been running smoothly ever since.

The game is also very easy for staff to use. “It’s really straightforward,” she said with satisfaction. “The only thing keeping us busy is the queue at the slush puppy stand,” she laughed, referring to the game's popularity and the related reward.
